Career Development Office offers you; Services & Programs to explore your area of interest, gives you awareness about the career opportunities and helps you to find the career of your choice.

What we do!

The Career Development Office allows you to connect with multiple mentors for professional advice. Your mentors will guide you with career selection, specialization, examination, study material, job opportunities, and more. You can also search by the kind of support you’re looking for; this includes resume review, interview preparation, job shadowing, development of career-related skills, and internship opportunities. When making connections through the IMDC Career Network you can:

  • Learn how to apply for an exam/ job in a particular field.
  • Develop contacts with specialists in your field of interest.
  • Find potential job shadowing sponsors.
  • Join discussions on professional topics based on your field of interest.
  • Find a mentor / become a mentor.
Join the IMDC Career Network
The IMDC Career Network is an online mentorship program built exclusively for IMDC students and alumni. Members choose the ways in which they can support others and specify the professional goals they are seeking themselves. Mentors can offer career guidance, job shadows, internship and job search support, resume reviews and job interviews.

When I look at my career retrospectively one very important link which I feel missing is career counselling at the time of my graduation. I can still remember, that I was totally confused after completion of my house job as to which field shall I opt as my future career & whether I shall continue my career in Pakistan or move abroad. Although I have reached almost maximum in my academic career Alhumdulilla, but I have got firm believe that I would have done much better, had I been counselled professionally about career pathways suitable for me considering my aptitude, abilities & personal circumstances at time of completion of my graduation.

I am pleased to have an opportunity to be one of the faculty members to participate in all the events organized by the Career Development Office. CDO is doing a tremendous job for the career development of medical graduates, not only giving them awareness about different career opportunities available all over the world but also helping them to identify their interests and skills and find a career of their choice by matching their academics with their professional opportunities.
My advice to all students is to visit the Career  Development Office at IMDC. They give great advice and are very nice. Make sure to sign up to participate in their events. You don’t want to miss anything!

Since I joined the IMDC MBBS program, I wasn’t aware of the opportunities this degree awaits me, what pathways I can pursue, what kind of effective study materials we need,  and what kind of role does my extra-curriculum play in my CV building?
CDO is been a breath of fresh air for the newly inducted as well as the current students of our college. As CDO provides answers to all of these questions under one name and platform. And being a student myself, who had struggled to find clarity in my goals, is now working under the same office, to allow my fellows to take a more streamlined path, rather than my own which was turbulent and tentative.
